Andy aka ‘Golf Mad Dad’, is a talented and self-taught golfer based in Chesterfield, Derbyshire. The ‘Golf Mad Dad’ YouTube channel has just completed its 1st year anniversary and now the new ‘Golf Mad Dad’ website has been launched, including the brand new Golf Mad Dad retail range, which provides the perfect gifting ideas for Father’s Day, Birthdays and much more.
The Golf Mad Dad community is for all fellow Golf Mad Dads.
BACKGROUND
From an early age, Andy has been sports-obsessed, playing football and cricket, plus many other sports at a high level in the local area. However, Golf has always been his No.1 sports passion, alongside being a devoted Father to his young son, hence the concept of ‘Golf Mad Dad’ was born.

Andy’s passion is to continue to grow the Golf Mad Dad YouTube channel with the hope to keep inspiring, entertaining and educating golf enthusiasts of all levels. The channel focuses on course vlogs, including series such as ‘Golfing Gems’ with the aim to highlight the fantastic golf courses and facilities that Derbyshire and the surrounding areas have to offer. The channel also features golf product reviews, golf tips, including golf fitness and much more.
Andy has a real passion for SPEED and currently reaches speeds into the high 130’s mph club head speed. Now in his 40s, Andy continues to push for speed and potentially aims to move into the senior golf long drive tour that starts from the age of 45, so you can follow his journey for speed and it may also help you gain a little more speed. Afterall, who doesn’t want more speed!
When asked about his motivation behind launching the YouTube channel, Andy Hone, Founder of Golf Mad Dad said: “Manchester has Rick Shiels, Peter Finch and many more successful Golf YouTubers and I want to grow a brand and online community that showcases and is synonymous with Chesterfield and the surrounding areas of the East Midlands and South Yorkshire. We are very fortunate to live in an area that is a hotbed for Golf and is in close proximity to the Peak District, which I really want to showcase.”
